Aubergine dip
... to all head back to mine in Glyfada where we crashed out, only to wake up at 10am in the stifling heat as we had left the air con on 28 degrees! Taking a sunny morning stroll we headed to Mollie's bar which was full of expats watching the rugby world cup final. The bar was so full I ended up sitting on the floor next to a dog - nice!!!
This Friday is a national holiday in Greece, so next stop....the Greek Islands ...
Spetsai, Serifos and Siphnos Islands
... good sail across to Sifnos - soo cute, original, greek and charming and no tourists to speak of. Evidently the PM and greek writers and artists holiday here. Charlie is keeping us amused and we are delighted he is now a fully fledged zoologist!. Tomorrow we pick up Gilly & Tim Deans from Paros so I am squeezing gear into lockers. Electricity is not available anywhere, so we are definitely camping with the solar panels and wind generator struggling to keep up. ...
A great day on Sifnos
We spent the day here relaxing on the beach. The water was the perfect temperature for swimming. The boys spent their day diving off the dock, swimming, snorkeling and fishing. We went into the town of Apollonia,which is the capitol of the island, for dinner. We sat outside under the stars as we ate another delicious meal of Greek ...
Exploring Milos
... We only had a couple of fishing boats for company after the tourist boats left for the night and it was a magical place. You could definitely feel and imagine pirate ships hiding out here. RRRRRR.
We had received an email that Helen and John from Christchurch on board "Awaroa" were headed for Milos so we decided to wait for them and have a catch up They arrived on 20 June and it was great to see them again after saying goodbye in Marmaris some 3 months earlier.

Sleep walking
Well I totally woke up last night outside at the place where I always get gyro's with 5 bucks in my hand! haha and I was wearing my PAJAMAS!!!!!!! How embarrassing! So I got a gyro anyways because I was hungry! They made fun of what I was wearing!!! I was so confused! BUT it worked out well because I saw Nota- she is my Greek friend who works at the pizzeria around the corner so I went and sat with her ...
