Machen wir doch gerne!

Weiter ging es Richtung Fredericton, der Hauptstadt von New Brunswick. Das war wirklich hübsch, der kurze Rundgang hat sich auf jeden Fall gelohnt.
... community spirit for over a 1000 people. The local people referred to him as ’the boss’. Marysville has now become part of Fredericton.
We also learned about a local legend - Fred, the frog. Supposedly, Fred was a toad that grew to weigh some 42 lbs under the care and attention of a local hotel owner (apparently some of the hotel liquid offerings helped his phenomenal growth. A stuffed Fred was on display (under ...

Third Corner...can you see Key West from here?

We got up at about 6:00 again this morning and out the door by 7:00. The weather started out cool and overcast but we never saw a drop of rain again. The winds were very strong but at our back for the first 150 miles. We got some great mileage. We stopped at a nice restaurant after about an hour of riding and got our first (and last hopefully) French lessons. The server was nice but the menu was in French and the server only spoke very broken ...

Rusty claims he probably got food poisoning, but I think his body is just telling him that it has had enough and needs a break. Rusty also has not been able to sleep well the last few nights, so I believe he just needs a break. I suggested we just spend the ...

... my beautiful 2 acres will become swarmed by yuppies building their ½ million dollar homes and postage stamp yards, cutting all the natural tress down and replanting non indigenous trees in a more aesthetically pleasing manner. This drive however, restored my faith that there are still a few untouched places on the earth, and not all in the South American jungles or the wilds of Africa. As far as you could see was the natural harmony created by the farmers ...

Laundry Day

... It was a great French lesson, reading and interpreting the signs. The kids have shown a renewed interest in the language, since they have discovered real people here in their own country who primarily communicate in French. Simone especially asks, "how do you say .... in French?" She practiced saying, "Comment tu t'appelle?" and "Quel age est tu?" until she was confident enough to approach the little girl who was visiting her ...

An adventure....into the unknown

... just got even more confusing....the poor people living in the dull old town of Edmunston, had no idea what bloody language to speak! Somethings were in french, some english...and some both. It was really confusing...and such a dump! Couldn't even find anywhere for coffee...not that looked human anyway! Still we had made it to New Brunswick...another province to tick off the list! And it did have a Tim Houtons ...
