    ... with bacon and wild mushrooms. The mushrooms are a local treat that I have been meaning to have on other trips. They are tiny golden ones but to my mind not a lot of flavour. The meal however was very good in the comfortable dining room with stained glass windows. The hotel was full and the restaurant busy, a local tourist trade in our age group. A very good sleep.     An early start to head out of the Netherlands into Germany on a beautiful sunny day. In the city of Cologne crossing the River Rhine 12000km , a major trade artery for Germany.     ... found some small plastic forks in the market, and oh did we enjoy that ice cream!!! The most difficult moment was when we walked past the raw meat, I wanted to grab a piece and eat it right then and there.
