... We talked and talked, with Jutta as a translator, and then Jutta and Derene took us to the two Masselinks homesteads. Derene owned one of the homesteads, and it was the one that my dad and Toots' family was born in, grew up in and died in! It was so surreal to be in the exact location where our ancestors lived and the same house. We all exchanged addresses and we will go to their church service on Sunday so will meet them again.
