... we chose a more quiet time!

On Tuesday 19th I headed to Hagen to look around the town with Chris after school. Our plan had been to find an Eiscafe (ice cream parlour) but instead we ended up in McDonalds when we couldn't find anything else suitable! It was lovely to catch up with him after not seeing him since Amsterdam, and we've agreed to do lots more after Christmas, hopefully involving lots of travelling!

Today we went for a nice long walk together on the outside of Recklinghausen. I believe that this was an old mining hill. The weather was a little cloudy and threatened rain, but it didn't happen. The sad thing about the EU is there are no borders to get your passport stamped. Here we just got our 10 year passport and only have one stamp :<(. Ah well, we have pictures.
