... not go out for dinner but we did go to a pub for a beer before settling into our rooms for a quiet evening. Today, I was up early for a walk to the Plockton viewpoint overlooking the straight between the mainland and Skye. It was overcast, but still pretty. It is a lovely hotel, built in Victorian ...

We started with a forest walk from Balmacara square, and followed up with a swim at the Kyle of Lochalash Leisure Centre, before heading around the coast to Plockton. Plenty of prawns in Plockton, and a very pretty ...
