Day 10: Florence
... that didn't stop Mom, Dad, Tom and me from walking around the whole city while CJ worked on some schoolwork. We had a late start because we putzed around the apartment a bit and Mom and Dad found a cool market where they bought us some food for the next few days. When we ventured out, we walked out to Ponte Vecchio again (can't get enough of that bridge!) and over to the other side, where we had lunch, wine, and the first cannoli of the trip. We continued along the Arno River ...
Day 9: Florence
... we walked more than 400 stairs to the top of the tower for a spectacular view of the city. It hurt, but it was worth it. Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Rafael. The line ...
Florence - where it all began
... turned our attention to the job of being a tourist. Florence is a large city, particularly after all the smaller towns we have been in since Zagreb. We, once again, relied on a Rick Steve's downloaded audio guide for a walking tour through the centre of the old part of Florence. TravelPod Member ReviewsLocanda dei Poeti Florence
We were at Locanda for 3 nights. Massimiliano was very nice and they gave us directions to many good restaurants and places to see. We would have liked to have breakfast at the B&B but we had to go to the caffé nearby for which we were given coupons at the Locanda Dei Poeti. It is not the same as a B&B where you can meet other guests and talk with the owner. Anyway, the location is great and it is a good place to stay.
