      It was a good thing this road was rather rough. A smooth road would be even worse to ride in these conditions. A rough road is great for grip and in icy conditions I tend to look for rough sections of road simply for grip.

      ... etc we were sorry to have not seen it in better weather but we can't really complain as this was week 9, day 2 of our trip and only our 3rd day of rain.       ... of doing it not even taking in to account the number of people who may have had their lips around that same whistle previously. I doubt these are sanitised after every voyage!       Oh man, the day I travelled to Italy was like an episode off 24 hours.
