Peace at last...
All the guests have now left and things have calmed down dramatically. We had a few busy days towards the end of last week with lots of boat trips and not much work – but hey, who am I to complain? On Friday we took the boat over to La Maddalena (island across the water from us) for lunch and then spent the afternoon in the most gorgeous little cove – huge sandy coloured rocks and the most beautiful turquoise water. It's midnight and still 30 degrees! This is seriously the hottest day we’ve had – thought I was getting used to this heat but obviously not. I woke up really early today and had my swim before breakfast, which was so beautiful. The water was incredibly still – hardly even a ripple… you could see every detail on the sand whilst swimming. Settling in…
Week two is well under way and I'm starting to feel far more comfortable being here. I feel like I can take myself away from it all very easily, but as easily join in if I feel like some company. The kids are all so sweet and lovely which makes it very easy to help out.
