... of dog swimming - too cold for us but the boys are in heaven. Two days, three nights in Saintes Marie. A much needed rest so lots of beach walks and snoozing in the sun with a good book each and a pitchet of vin blanc. Tomorrow we head for Italy through Aix en Provence and along the coast towards Genoa. Will be very sorry to leave this little place but plan a celebratory farewell dinner of moules frites tonight. ... bought a pass so that we could take our time and visit all of the attractions; the Arena, the Maison Carrée, the Jardins de la Fontaine and in Orange, a short drive away, a Roman amphitheatre.

... the bulls would have been fought. We walked up the big hill which has a tower on top, it is one of the highest places in the area so you could see around the whole city and surrounding area. I decided to stay near the colosseum for sunset, and it lit up very nicely with a matador statue out front.

Today's lessons were the best yet. Even got homework! Had intended to swim, but ran out of time. Spent the afternoon studying until I had my rendezvous with Luc the architect I met at the station in Paris. He spent an hour and a half showing me a bit more of Montpellier which was really cool, and said if I want to see anymore just let him know.
