A well organised apartment with good on site faclities. Only a partial kitchen , and no terrace in this one bed apartment which is a shame but otherwise spacious and comfortable.

This is a very out of the way holiday resort but it is a peaceful waterfront location. Make sure you arrive with some food, although they do have a limited stock of some grocery supplies. You can order croissants & pastries for your breakfast which is helpful because it is a drive to the nearest village. The receptionist (able to speak English) was very helpful in giving us directions to places to eat and recommendations of places to visit. The price was excellent for the facilities we had. Kitchen is well stocked with all the crockery & cutlery you'd need for a family and even to entertain! Great place to stay for a stopover or even a longer visit. Lovely little towns nearby to visit.

Our first stop was the town of Rouen. We visited the Notre Dame Cathedral where construction started in 1145and was completed 400 years later. It is huge. (We are told that just about every town has a church named Notre Dame. After touring the church, we strolled down a cobblestone street to arrive ...

For two years, giant cement containers were being built in Britain; these containers were placed on barges and towed to the site, sunk, and added to the protective break water and they also acted as underwater support for the steel roadways that were built in sections which would be linked together to large platforms that could accommodate multiple ships which could unload their equipment and supplies. These man-made floating roads extended over a mile into the ...
