... one.... "Nuts!"

Hutzpahhhhh lol. So I figure I need to see what I can here....I found me hotel...and the dude was not too friendly....Either way...I unloaded...and headed to find some food...found an awesome steak and beer and burped....headed back to me hotel.....and passed out. All in all a memorable day.

k not sure if all that makes sense...double digit glasses of port....some rum....somem beer.....and peanuts....I think peanuts did me in ...i ned sto crashhhhhhh

... close to the pedestrian area and soon found a promising cafe. Laura scored with the chicken kabob order and I did ok with sole.
-once fueled we headed off to assault the citadel. It was a good thing we had eaten because the climb was substantial. It was an impressive structure.

Spent the day in Paris catching up with Baz and Rob while trying out an assortment of activities along the Seine, interspersed with a few beers by the water. I actually felt like being on holiday for a day or so.

We had all taught English together in Chile ten years before so for me this seemed like an appropriate way to start my trip, like a less sophisticated Before Sunset.

After filling up on a steak and 'ham hock' dinner, wandering back to our accommodation we noticed a shop 'Australian Homemade Icecream'. Andy asked the man behind the counter (in his best French) what made the icecream Australian. The man responded that the owner was Australian, but didn't live there are he had lots of money and travelled around etc. Once we identified ourselves as Australian, the man, his son and a lady all behind the counter spoke ...

Today we drove about 200km in the ****ing rain ... Both wet till the bone!! Luckily we found a small camping with rooms for rent. The room is actually very big, with a kitchen included. After everything was unpacked, I enjoyed a warm shower after having very cold the whole day long. Afterwards we enjoyed a nice meal in the local restaurant. It is now 21.15h but I guess I will not be awake for a long time anymore. Sleep ...
