    Two irritating buzzing flies in our cabin work us up early so we were up, out and on our way to Napa by 8:15, a record! We were planning to stop for breakfast along the way, but didn't really come across anything that warranted a stop so we drove on straight through. It was a pleasant, interesting drive past attractive lakes and rolling grassy farmland. The wide open spaces and the brown colour of the grass reminded us a bit of South Africa. As ...

    ... in a small way, with just one Main Street and every second shop sells wine or has tasting wine available. Thank goodness we can walk down the street from our lodgings. The shops have the old frontage but inside it is boutique style. We won't be buying anything here. I've had my last drive in the states coming down from Corning to Napa this morning.
