I thanked the man, and tried to pay him for the gas or compensate him for his time, but he refused and just asked me to 'pay it forward'. He also declined to be filmed or phootgraphed which really bummed me out, as this is a great story. ... Nebraska. While not too common, we have encountered that type if situation before. Basically it just mean the visitor center & displays aren't quite as "uniform" as most other NP sites. From there, we found a campsite in Gering, NE near the base of Scott's Bluff. We will visit that National Monument tomorrow. The campsites are very well kept, but overall the campground is nothing too exciting. It is very windy...to the ...

After a quick breakfast with Brian, Kristen, and Sydney, we headed out for a two day motor trip as they returned to their busy lives. After an interesting stop at the Overland Museum in Sterling, Colorado, we headed to Ogallala, Nebraska, the starting point of our North Platte River Road scenic drive of 145 miles, ending in Scott's ...
