couldn't find it. Turns out it was exactly in the pocket I
put it in but just behind my book. Fml.

... but I was already in tears with laughter and that just increased when he went to the bottom and still couldn't find the way out.  I just imagined my whole week stuck in a carpark.  Eventually we got out and went to Köln for the day.  By this point in the car trip, I had remembered left and right in German and Kai had taught me to count to ten.  We hopped out of the car and he asked me which way to go, to which I said left.  Every time. I couldn't say right.  ...
