Waking up, after a frustrating night of sleep, to see that Notre Dame beat Michigan 31-0, made it a great start to a fabulous day! We enjoyed our "substantial Tyrollean breakfast" of yogurt, fruit, breads, pastries, Nutella, meats and cheeses before heading out to mass. The church here in Casterotto is massive. It is like to the church we went to in Kruth, France in style but much much bigger and more crowded. We walked through the very unusual cemetery prior to mass: ...

We departed Bellagio/Lake Como at 9:50am and arrived in Castelrotto at 5pm. What a day of travel!!! We easily found our hotel: Alla Torre, very Swiss chalet, and were warmly greeted by the owner. We took breakfast in the throne room - as you do. We are getting a bit sick of cheese and ham but still eating it. We were sad to leave our royal palace. We had gotten used to the regal atmosphere. This was a treat stay for us. We booked a taxi and went for one last stoll before travelling. We enjoyed our garden and of course took more castle photos before getting into the taxi to travel to Trento to catch ...

... mountain chalet to old Italian. We decided that as we had walked down all the way we should catch a bus back to Pergine to explore. We now realise that everything shuts for lunch here from about 12.30 to 4pm. We arrived in Pergine after going around the larger lake by bus and - with everything shut - we went into a grocery shop and bought cheese, crackers, olive caper paste and roasted zucchinis. We sat in the shade on a bench - we were delighted to see through the trees and over ...
