That night I was able to find a good place to get my pasta. It seemed to be a small family-owned shop with only four tables inside. Luckily for me one of them was free and I was able to get in. Of course the young man who seemed to be running the show for the night didn't speak any english and as I was sitting at my table waiting to see a menu he walked up with a lady beside him. ... these locations in the past. The houses are huge, often with massive barns attached which must have housed provisions for you and the cattle for the winter because presumably once it snowed that was that until it thawed in a few months. It must have been tough.
We have really enjoyed Italy; again. Tomorrow we head for Austria, the bit we missed last year.
