... of gently rolling hills. The forests are even-storied (only about 80' tall max), healthy, dense & mixed specie. Very pretty. People grow vegetable gardens but minimal flowers in the ground - but lots and lots of spots of color in varying flower pots and hanging baskets - they're beautiful. Plenty of fruit stands along the way. There are lakes, lakes & more lakes everywhere! Too bad the winters here are so brutal. Half way to Mackinac Island. More on this ...

    ... tonight.

Severe thunderstorm on the way...so we booked!

Nice motel - glad it's brick because there is a MAJOR storm coming through this area tonight!

Got an alarm on my iPad that there was smoke in my condo, so spent the better part of the afternoon trying to get in touch with neighbors every time we stopped, Using on of the other rider's cell phones! Not fun!

    Homeward-bound tomorrow!

In the afternoon, we rented two more kayaks and we all cruised 6 miles down the Pere Marquette River. Dinner at the RV, we later had a campfire and S’mores. It stays light here till 10:00 PM!
    A perfect day? You bet!

... the passenger seat as a dock worker drove the RV off…so excited to see us!

We drove for several hours through WI – beautiful farm land (really big farms and a large windmill field). Then after a quick stop at Wal-Mart for restocking (an electric frying pan appeared in my carriage, I sorely missed Denise's-had to have one) we headed off to Montello, ...

... was crazy-pedal to the metal-everyone on any craft. Next day, quick exodus from campgrounds on everyones part....back to reality. Crazy time but glad we saw it all.

Met a real nice couple from Grand Rapids-she worked in construction and he sold flowers. They liked our motor home and asked to see the inside.
