La Terrazza di Atri

Six hour train from Venice to Pescara. Nice ride along coast but this is a beach town with not much open in October. In addition, when we questioned the hotel clerk about sightseeing he immediately replied that most of the town was bombed in World War II and not rebuilt. Only stayed one night on the way to Naples and the highlight was a great meal!

... of my life (so far) to get up and go watch such a beautiful moment in an ordinary day. Please see photos, as I took MANY! But all are on facebook if you would like to go through them all!! Hahaha.

... of behind glass. I am getting as much reading done now as i can. I coudnt find the last book in the twilight series and had to buy About a Boy. It is one of my favourite movies so not a total waste of time. (The lines are almost exactly the same, so with a little imagination I can pretend that I am watching the movie). At one of the numerous bookstores here, I found Q&A (Slumdog Millionaire), that I had been looking for. Very excited ...

... abundance of it. Figs, pears, tomatos, grapes, pomagranates....and oh do they taste good. So now we left and headed out to go to Rome. What was supposed to take four and a half hours ended up taking over 11 hours of traveling. Busses were late, trains were late, stops and other trains were missed...it was a looongg day. And we found that train people here in Italy are not very helpful at all....oh well, at least in our experience. But thatās ok, we ...

... simtindu-ma bine: mi-a spus ca scriu bine in italiana! Primul meu examen scris in italiana - picat! Dar daca a spus ca am scris bine in italiana, tot e ceva! :) In rest, in acest moment este la fotocopiat cartea de 47 de euro - care e de marketing si care o sa ma coste cam 19 euro. [Aau! ] Cand ma gandesc ca puteam sa-mi iau trei carti de la Feltrinelli cu banii astia....sau sa mananc o saptamana din ei...sau... Acestea fiind zise, imi fierba apa pentru paste....

E vineri si ne trebuia o iesire din oras. Imi trebuia o iesire, dar am ajuns sa nu plec singura, ci cu Egle. :) Plecarea a fost hotarata pentru 13.40, ca sa am timp sa merg si pe la cursul de Arte vizuale in contemporainetate - iar Egle avea de gand sa-si faca o baie. Pe undeva pe la 6 dimineata am auzit tunete, fulgere, geamul care se zbatea (am inteles de ce lumea ...

... pe luna. Data o stabilim noi. Se fac rezervarile din timp si daca mai sunt locuri.... - Ok, care este data pentru aprilie? - A fost. - A fost? Cand? - 15 aprilie - Si in mai cand se poate vizita? - Pe 13. - Am inteles. Nu stiu in acest moment daca o sa fim 3 persoane sau 4. - Va ganditi si ma sunati din nou maine. - Multumesc, buna ziua. Peste 5 minute revin. - Buna ziua, as dori sa fac o rezervare pentru 4 persoane. - Aaa! Ati ...

... Sasso. We can only rave about it! Every 5 minutes we had to stop the car to take more photos. The views and scenery were quite breathtaking. We drove up, down and around the mountains, through some gorgeous old towns and to a very large lake. This area is just over two hours, by car, from Rome and well worth the visit. In bucatarie, la o cana de ceai cu Eva. Ne uitam la televizor. Nu stiu cum ajungem sa vorbim iar despre vecin si despre umbrela. - Dar stii, Ioana, ce li s-a intamplat unor spanioloaice? Au plecat la Napoli cu masina propietarului si le-a fost furata! In prima seara! Masina nu era noua, dar acu trebuie sa plateasca fiecare 600 de euro. Iti dai seama? 600 de euro! - Pai in comparatie cu asta, cei 50 de euro ai mei sunt o nimica toata! Eva, habar n-ai ce veste buna mi-ai dat!

Ieri m-am plimbat cu autobuzul! Mare parte din zi. Am observat ca aici trebuie sa apesi pe butonul rosu pe care scrie Stop ca sa cobori la urmatoarea statie. Apesi, se aude un tarait, se aprinde un ecran pe care scrie "Fermata prenotata" si ei chiar opresc in urmatoarea statie. Daca statia e goala si nu ai apasat, patesti cum am patit eu, adica o ia iar in sus pe deal, apoi in jos pe deal, iar ajungi in Piazza ...
