... second one held heaps of people. You will see by the photos how many were in there lol. When we reached the summit... Oh My Lord we cannot explain how beautiful if was. It was so peaceful and the day was so clear, clean and bright. It was like the sun rained down on us. Our Tour Director, Ananda, said that she had not seen such a beautiful day up at the Matterhorn before, that was expressed by the locals also. Unfortunately to Shawn's dismay we didn't get to go on a ICE train (intercontinental express) - the Deutche Bahn high speed train. Settled for a EC (euro city) from Munich Hbf to Zurich, followed by a IC (Intercity) to Visp in Switzerland (after passing thru Austria briefly) and then a regional train on the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn to Zermatt which is a cog rail ...

... were scaling the glacier covered Breithorn. Below us, people were skiing at Plateau Roso on the Theodul Gletscher. After taking in the views and talking to a couple from Sydney, the four of us headed down 45 meters into the Glacier PAradise. We walked through a glacier! It was freezing to say the least, especially since I was wearing shorts and a t-shirt. It was wunderbar! There were carvings, sculptures and even a tunnel you could slide through ...
