... a beautiful waterfall running down the cliff. Further round and there is the glacier. Once again, like any glacier, it takes a while to work out just how massive this lump of ice really is. Only when you see people walking near it can you work out the size.
Finally down at the actual glacier and a tunnel has been cut into the ice and so off I go for a walk.
Outside it was still bitter cold in that biting wind but here inside the ice tunnel felt rather warm compared ...
The trip down the other side of Lake Garda was nerve-racking. Many narrow tunnels where we seemed to be scraping the sides at times. Crazy drivers trying to pass in the tunnels. Out of the tunnels the scenery was fantastic but at times I was too nervous to enjoy it as it was gut clenching on the narrow road. Tuesday, 29th. Another stunning day as we set out with Heidi and her son, Marvin to travel to the magic ake including a breathtaking gondola ride up to Kandersteg at altitude of 1700 metres. A 30 minute hike took us down to the mountain lake Oeschinen. After a light lunch we had a 30 minute walk back up to the Gondola station, where Heidi, Marvin and Greg tried out the luge track.
