Right, so after our 14 hour day trip from San Martin to Pucon, we arrived at about 930pm. We had a little taste of Temuco because we had to cross town to another bus station, and we were thankful we weren't staying for more than hour. We have been looking forward to Pucon. It was Lizzys first time and my second, and I have been ranting and raving about this oasis set against a volcano, flush with a beautiful lake, and surrounded by other mountains. However our ...

We were obviously extremely conscious of the huge bubbling crater in the middle and it was difficult to breathe at close ...

    ... 30 for the CD.

The next day we were then up early to climb Villarrica Volcano, the most active in Chile. This was the day of the Iron Man so it was a mad rush for us to leave town before the roads were shut and we were trapped for the day. It was a pretty steady and hard 5 hour hike basically through the snow in crampons in man mad steps by the guide - think step aerobics for 5 hrs up a red run ski slope and that ...

... room, "Rauli", again. There were 3 girls staying so we didn't have the house to ourselves but it was big enough not to feel crowded.

We walked into town to Patagonia Exprience's office to pay for David's volcano tour tomorrow and then to try out the equipment. The equipment included everything necessary: boots, pants, jacket, crampons, gators, gloves, backpack, helmet and ice axe. We were told it was going to be pretty warm on the volcano so ...
