... bit of paperwork (typical Spanish type) but we were able to take ownership of the car this afternoon. We returned our rental to the airport and took a taxi to the dealership.

It is now safely parked in our underground garage. Lars is busy thinking of a name for our wheels. I'm just excited to contemplate our next road trip. We may be headed for the south of France soon...Annelie and Jan, be warned!

We tipped a bottle of "giggle juice" into the tank which is supposed to clean the fuel system, then Steve fired her up, floored her twice in quick succession and a plume of black smoke came out of the exhaust.....whatever it was had kicked on through and she was revving cleanly. More hugs and this time we made it past Albatera and onto the motorway. We were on our way to Andalucia.

... House (she folded our pyjamas when we left for the day...did I mention that before??) but this apartment in Alicante fell in the memorable category for sure. It was 3 stories and had 4 bedrooms, 6 balconies and at least 8 TVs (you need one on each balcony...obviously). The weird thing was not so much the fanciness of the place so much as the fact it was one of the cheapest places we stayed in Spain. I don't know ...

... so drove to the coast to the sand sculptures at Bolnuevo. Over the hill we turned onto a dirt road and followed the coast a little way before stopping for lunch, then walked a couple of km following the road by the sea.
