... scale of 6 so quite easy and lots of fun! We only went with 2 rafts and had two additional canoe's for safety. We had a lot of fun with everyone in the group and to see the rain forest from the river is amazing!! We saw sloth bears in the trees. They are very cute! Apparently they sleep all day. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sloth_bear .

Our next stop will be Monteverde, a three hour drive from Arenal.

Day 7 - going into Arenal volcano

A travel blog entry by lovejezelle on Jan 12, 2014

... Then when we went up the hike to overlook the Arenal volcano, half of it was covered with clouds already because of the weather - disappointing! Then, when we were looking for the natural hot springs but instead just found a pool with warm water - disappointing! But we've paid $15 and figured, we might as well dip our feet and get our money's worth.

We started getting around 5:40 pm to head home. Lucia and Angela decided they were staying one more night, ...
