After breakfast we all ( except Erland and Shirin...they were still sleeping) went for a walk down to the lake where Helge keeps his boat. It was quite cold and windy but the scenery was so beautiful ....
Near the lake were the ruins of the 16th century (1660-1817) Lesja ironworks (jernwerk). On the way back up the mountain to Helge's place, we passed by an "old ...

After a very long drive .... Thank you Kristian and Erna .... we arrived at a most welcoming place; the mountain retreat of Helge and Oddrun (Kristian's older sister) Thorsplass. Happy birthday Beth :)

Woke up early as it was light (As it had been when I woke at
2 & 3am!) so decided to make a flask of coffee & a cup of tea before
decamping & hit the road early. We were off by 6.40am.

Steve had a bit of a catastrophe yesterday, he ran out of
beer. He had to buy some and it cost £10 for 3 half litre bottles. Later on
    today he ...

... somewhere for free! Some of the others booked into rooms, some came
back & stayed in hotels. So it was just Steve & I. I'm typing this in
our 'camp', it's 11.15pm & still daylight. We've got to stay up until
midnight to see the midnight sun! It is sunny now by the way, the rain has long
    gone (hopefully)

We did stay up, and now to bed.............photos another
    day!
