There was actually a brief moment as I was walking up the hill that I regretted arriving on a day the mansion was closed and maybe if I had the chance to come back one day I would to see the ...

Next stop was the Statue of Liberty, Birmingham style. The owner of Liberty Bank in Alabama made a replica of the Statue of Liberty that is one fifth ...

On the way to Memphis

We had a one night stop over in Moody. We passed Talladega raceway on the way there but as it was a longer drive we didn't stop off along the way. We also got held up in our first traffic jam. A truck had gone off the interstate and crashed. Delayed us by about 40 minutes. The Super 8 wasn't the worst or the best motel but we both slept well after dinner at Cracker Barrell.

a hard days night

We rode through a couple of very difficult mountain passes today. I did alright- I think I may have impressed some of my co-riders. We are at 700 miles down- 1300 to go. I am so grateful for this incredibly enjoyable trip- I think my years of being a fisherman has paid off since every time I stop I talk to the fisherman and give them literature... I am the only person who can do this I ...

We Made It !

... start to get even worse when the air traffic control computer shut the whole east coast down. Delta then gave Dad a 7 hour tour of the tarmac at LaGuardia. It seems its not good to travel during a computer glitch that effects the entire east coast. Well we both ended up in Birmingham eventually and everything has been great since we got here. The car has satellite radio and a GPS system ...
