    ... Graham would never forget

The next morning after re-loading Mr-T, we decided to have a wander around the quaint log cabin-esk town before hitting the road again. We learnt that a short walk into the hills there was a physical state line in the road which we could, so to say, straddle for a photo, so of course we did.

We passed Bison this morning. He had decided to shut it down after two months of very enjoyable hiking. ... saw another one.

We'd noticed quite a few classic cars driving around and on our last day they all congregated in the Heavenly mall and we were treated to an unexpected classic car show, bonnets up, all gleaming and polished like they'd never ever been driven!

We were sad to leave Tahoe but had the wonder of Yellowstone still to look forward to, cameras at the ready for Old Faithful, the geysers and hot springs ...

... numbers listed on a booth. We went down and were lucky enough to find a space (albeit on a slight hill) that was free! Putting up the tent didn't take too long, and we made sure to store all food and drink in the provided bear proof containers, because apparently "bears regularly roam the camps at night". Superb. We even had time to head down to the beach and had a dip in the freezing cold water, watched by lake gulls. The camp itself was nice, but the facilities would ...
