    ... was suited for traveling by an RV, but we decided to chance it and we were glad we did.

    It is a two lane highway in good shape for the most part. It climbs to almost 10,000 feet at the far eastern end, and then it’s a 12 mile descent to Rt. 395. There were some areas where it was a little narrow, especially when two RVs or a tour bus were passing each other.

    ... view of Mount Tallac. Then there was the Stream Profile Chamber - it was awesome. It gave an underwater view of the fish who live there. We saw a Lahontan Cutthroat Trout. It looked like a Speckled Trout. Unfortunately, we didn't see any Kokanee Salmon which normally spawn upstream, then die.     Today, the Wallers learned to ski. The kids think it's great, Caragh used the word "palava" once or twice. Granted there was a good deal of lugging gear, and getting on and off various transportation devices. The ski school close to our lodge isn't yet open due thin snow cover, so we had to get a bus, second bus, monorail, and gondola to the start of our lessons.
