And so my journey around America came to a close. I had an early flight, considerably earlier than Robert's but he still woke up at 4:30 to see me off at the airport. It was a mixed trip, very long and tiring so much so that I feel I could use another holiday to actually relax, but we saw and experienced a lot. New York was still by far my favourite and if it was cheaper to stay there I could probably have stayed an extra week, or lifetime. ...
Last foot on English soil!
Before we knew it, we had landed in London and our bags were been moved to the next plane.
We trawled the shops, outlets and boutiques that the airport had to offer and both agreed that a final present purchase was in order.
Bags in hand and 2 new Swatch watches later, we headed for the terminal ready for the next leg to San Francisco. This would be an 11 hour flight and hopefully we could catch up on some missing sleep time!

It was a relief to know we didn't have to be at Olympic Park until 1.30 so we all had a nice sleep in! The kids enjoyed kicking back and watching the Olympics on television and being connected to the internet, but eventually we got our act together and headed out.

Yet another tour!
Today we did a tour of the tower of London where we got to see things like The Crown Jewels and ancient torture instruments. Very interesting! Then we rushed gack to Ruths and Joel and Aaron headed out to Heathrow for their flight home while the rest if us packed up and headed out on a train to Rochester. ...
Bangers 'n' Mash!
... to pack into a month but letting the train take the strain ensured that it was not over tiring – although some days were tougher than others.
