    Very relaxing and enjoying

We spent two wonderful nights at the Inn to attend a wedding in Fredericksburg. We stayed in the little house out back and loved it! It was charming, comfortable and clean. Our lovely hosts cooked us a delicious breakfast on Sunday and showed us around the rest of the Inn. It is evident that they have a design background in the beautiful furnishings and appointments. We walked into the shoppping area of town and enjoyed all the gift and antique shops. We can't wait to go back!

    Wonderful hosts

We rented the whole house in June for our family. It was wonderful. The beds were very comfortable and the linens were very nice. After a great nights sleep, the breakfasts were absolutely fantastic. Gloria and Fred really know how to put on a meal! The house is across the street from the Nimitz Museum and just down the street from the shopping. We liked it so much we are going back in September for a "scrapbooking slumber party".

    Excellent stay

We had a great time in Fredericksburg and at Das Keidel Inn. The breakfast was excellent with friendly hosts!

    Great Place To Stay

We arrived in Fredericksburg on Saturday afternoon with no reservations. We were lucky enough to find the Das Keidel B & B with a vacancy. What a delightful treat. Very accomodating to my husband and myself, great breakfast and delightful company. Would stay there again in a heartbeat! Can't wait until we return and stay again.

    Home Away from Home

Fred and Gloria Soto are charming, competent hosts. Their Inn has a delightful decor with all the convenience and comfort of home. Breakfasts were delicious and abundant. Location is excellent...easy to find and within walking distance to almost everything! We will return!

    Wedding weekend

Last summer our daughter married in Fredericksburg. In preparation for the wedding we made many trips to the Hill country and always stayed at the Keidel Inn. It became our second home. It is by far "the best " B&B in Fredericksburg. The interior design is absolutely beautiful, the food delicious(Gloria shared her recipes) , and it is a very relaxing home - which is necessary after a day of shopping. The location is perfect - walking distance to everything - and yet quiet and peaceful. Gloria and Fred Soto are extremely talented and the Keidel House is perfect for a family gathering or a lovely place for a small wedding.

    Fantastic B&B in Fredericksburg, Texas

We have stayed several times at Das Keidel Inn in Fredericksburg, Texas and it is the best B&B we have ever stayed in. It is right on the main street so we walked to shopping, restaurants, museums and galleries. The Inn is decorated beautifully and the beds are heaven to sleep in. The food(full hot breakfast) is fabulous and so are the hosts, Fred and Gloria Soto! The patio provides a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the peacefulness of the garden. Everyone should experience this casual, but elegant Inn.

    Fabulous decor, food, service, views!

Das Keidel Inn is lovely. Beautiful decor, delicious food, excellent and friendly service. Pretty view.

    Incredibly relaxing and fabulous

Just returned from a stay at Das Keidel, and found it adorable and charming. The pictures on the web *don't* do it justice, as it was absolutely beautiful. The breakfast was delicious, we felt right at home, and the house was beautiful. The hosts were warm and welcoming and great conversationalists. We will definitely be back!

    Das Keidel Inn

Stayed at this B and B over New Years weekend. Most B and B's in the area do not have accomodations for late night walk ins ( it was around 830 pm on a Saturday). Das Heidel was open and the pictures on the web (if you can find any) dont do it justice. We had spent the day hiking at enchanted rock, and the rhine suite was affordable (not much more than the super 8 down the road) and luxurious. We felt royal spending the night. I do not usually go the B and B route but strongly recommend Das Heidel to either a couple or family (for the upstairs suite) beth

... Guadeloupe River. The view is wonderful and there are trails to hike, which I intend to do in the morning.

The only eventful thing to happen today was we picked up a nail in one of the tires on the Honda. Thanks to my handy I-Phone, we found a place to fix it and it took 15 minutes and $15.00. Eazy-Peazy!

    More heat

... to cook. As it turned out, we three couples decided to go out to eat, so we drove into Johnson City. We sat there for a couple of hours and visited and ate. It was nice not to rush.

Now we're in for the night and we'll see what tomorrow brings. Since this is rally time, I may not write every night. So if you don't receive our email announcement, don't worry, we didn't fall off the face of the earth, just nothing exciting to write about.

    Good night.

... have different speed limits with 75 mph about average, here in Texas on Interstate 10,its 80 mph (about 140 kph) i was driving about 85-88 mph and still getting passed by some people. There is an Interstate in Texas with a 90 mph limit so i imagine that people would be going 100 mph. Traveling the interstates is easy coming into the larger city's gets interesting with all the freeways and ...

Jeff's family headed back to Newtown PA today. Dad toolk them to the airport at 6:30 AM. They arrived home safely, happy to see temperatures in the 70's. Did you know Giselle hates the heat? No one will ever question her love for her niece. She brought her whole family to TX at the end of July just to see Ailish. We love you too, Giselle! No one can understand like mothers how important it is to get the whole family together. Doing it in Texas was extra ...

The shows were very good and brought back many memories of Sea World in Ohio 30 years ago. Shamu ( IV or V) is still performing! The first show we saw was The Beluga Story, which was informational on how they care for the animals. When Lily saw a female ...
