... of rain, coupled with some cracking thunder and lightning storms.
The rain is needed badly here in Turkey as we have only had a few inches
of rain in the last eight months. This has had a bad effect on the local
olive picking, with the crops down some 30% on normal levels. Now however,
as I am writing this we have just had nearly two inches of rain overnight so
that is good, well for us anyway.

Saved for a whole year to take family on holiday to the lovely beach of Bardakci Bay on the Bodrum Peninsula in Turkey. Brilliant time was had by all especially our little 7 year old boy. ... When we showed up we were amazing at how nice it was. The room, the pool, the beach, it felt like paradise. There were probably only 20 people staying at the hotel so it felt like Tracy and I had the place to ourselves. We went down to the beach and did some snorkeling, and then we tried to rent some wind surfing boards but just our luck the owner was having his siesta.
We had a nice relaxing night, and were treated like royalty :)
