We arrived here at almost midnight thinking the door would be shut and we would be left out in the cold, but luckily the great staff their waited up for us without us giving notice of our late arrival. For this we are eternally grateful. The room was great, the beds were warm, the place was clean and the location easy to find. A great hostel! Friendly and Very Helpful in every way

That vaguely approximates where my brain is after two days of using Osaka's transport system. This is how the system is supposed to …
Osaka: Sumo-It's Raining (fat) Men
In the morning, I decided to wander through Shitennoji temple complex, basically the main large temple complex in Osaka. The complex is one of the oldest in the country, but all of the original buildings have been replaced by reconstructions. In general, the gravel courtyards and overcast day didn't make the complex stand out in my mind.

Day 16: Leaving Naoshima... and finding Osaka!
For our last day in Naoshima, after a delicious breakfast, we decided to rent bicycle (at the reception of the Hotel) and to go to Honmura, on the eastern part of the island, to enjoy the last attraction of the island: Art House Project.
Old village houses are converted into art spaces showcasing Japanese and international artists. …
