... the pace was really good. I like every place that we traveled to. Each was different. The architecture and art of Portugal and Spain are beautiful. Calatrava, Gehry and Gaudi!!! All different and fabulous. The food was too good! The Atlantic, Mediterranean and beautiful rivers - plazas, museums, route of Saint James - the history, people and cultures - made this trip an excellent one! We are so fortunate to have this opportunity and share it with each other and dear ...

Our drive from New Jersey to the Hamptons took us up through New York. Sounds daunting but the roads and bridges just roll on though Brooklyn, across Staten Island then up through the Hampton Bays.
The Hamptons lives up to it reputation having very, very grand houses on large, manicured properties. Lots of lovely (and expensive) shops in the quaint villages and long sandy ...

... got out of the airport, we decided to rely on the GPS (christened Barb) to get us to Branford, on the coast of Long Island Sound. Apparently Barb thought it was better to completely skirt New York via the west, north and then east instead of getting on the I95 which would have been more direct but maybe slower (? through southern parts of New York). But hey, we just followed along and eventually arrived at our B+B about 4pm. So we've seen the suburbs of outer New York and know a ...

This was our last stop over as we drove to Massachusetts from Mexico. Only about 2 hours left &127 miles to go to get to New Bedford, MA, but we wanted to get a full nights rest and we wanted to arrive earlier in the day.
The entire trip will have taken us 10 days, 89 hours of driving time, 3, 000 miles. We dry docked 5 times at Walmarts, gas stations and 1 Chinese buffet restaurant parking lot, 1 hotel in Mexico and 4 RV Parks in the U.S.
