... catch our Amtrak train to New York. The train was only 7 minutes late - in Amtrak terms that's not late! By the time we left church the fog had cleared and its now a glorious sunny day. I was able to take a few photos of Bethel as the train passed through on its way south. Basically, we followed the White River, then the Connecticut River for quite a long way heading in a southerly direction. Just out of Springfield MA, the train stops and the conductors have to ...

Not quite my best ever pavlova but it was received well and perhaps Lin will ave to cook one again ...

... bridges and houses were devastated by the Hurricane back in August 2011. The day didn't start out very good weather wise and it tried to rain when we were at the top but it cleared to a beautiful sunny afternoon. Ian and Jesse did the walk to the top of the mountain after we got out of the gondola. By that stage it was only 10 deg ...

... fire and a laundry/2nd bathroom off this room. There is also a small room in which they hang all their coats. And they certainly have a lot more outdoor gear than we do but they need it! Downstairs, there is a small office, another sitting room and a bedroom (ours). Upstairs are 3 more bedrooms and a bathroom. There is also a huge attic which stores heaps too. This is where the winter tyres are kept. There is a staircase from the garage up to the attic. They also have ...
