... every aspect; no major towns and vast tracts of wooded countryside, its leaves turning sundry shades in the sunshine. Our first stop was in Williamstown, home to Williams College, an Úlite private liberal arts college. It looks like one of those ivy-league universities common in American films, with students sauntering about in a variety of trendy clothing, very relaxed and self-confident. We strolled down the main college shopping ...

... a guided tour of his former house and a full description of his history there. We were the only visitors in the torrential rain! Johnstown is close by, not surprisingly, a small typical US town "out in the sticks". ... impressed and were concerned that their children were frightened by the performance. Hotel staff were not impressed either and the lady and child were quietly taken outside. There were several Latino mothers with very young children as well as school aged kids. One lady had a 3 month old baby, another was very pregnant. The kids were having breakfast and the older ones were ready for the school bus. Later other families with fathers and mothers came into the small breakfast ...

... Portable AM radios - do you remember those? The artists that performed at Woodstock never seemed that young. We really enjoyed the two hours we spent there. Just missed, Jimmy Buffet, James Taylor and Zac Brown concerts that were there recently. Now that would have been cool. After that we drove the 77 miles to Bergen, New ...
