Better train than plane

Although it took 11 hours to get from DC to Randolph, it was A LOT better than flying since we would still be waiting for our flight today I bet. We scooted out of DC just as THE BIGGEST STORM EVER was coming in. Didn't really see much snow at all on the way up but Amtrack did cancel all northbound trains the next day.
So you know how the train goes - sway sway, choo choo, read, sleep, eat, stand up and stretch - repeat. But it was a bit surprising ...

... cone chunks. Delicious, even for breakfast. Of course we grabbed a pint of Half Baked to share back at the RV. Before leaving, I headed out back and up the hill to visit the Flavor Graveyard. Any flavor marketed, that flops, is retired and given a granite gravestone with a cute and catchy little poem. It was a great and fun way to begin our day! On to Stowe. . .

... for Amtrak. We got samples of hot chocolate, tea, and coffee. There was information on coffee bean farming and the process to make the coffee. Many of the coffee bean farms are in Africa and Central America.
