A few miles after leaving Twillingate, we detoured from the main route to visit what was described by our guidebook as a "picturesque fishing village." We thought twice about going the extra six miles out of our way, but since we were already behind schedule, we figured it didn't much matter. ... We went through Dildo (no comments from the peanut gallery!) Run Provincial Park on the way.

Onward to Gander to spend the night, get some laundry done, and dry out.

The crows point observation park it over 300 feet above the Ocean and is a spectacular view of the rocky cliffs. We saw three icebergs -- but they were 10 to 15 miles away . so we really could not tell their size except that -- if we can see them that far away they must be BIG. We saw not whales or puffins.

We had a change of diet for lunch -- moose. Linda ...

... each beam. I was watching most of it and they did a great job of attending to the details, they even found - what a appeared to be a factory substandard weld that had broken and fixed it too. They finished about 3:30pm.

So we took the trailer back to the RV Park and set it up - what a dream - it was like new -- the rest of the trip will be great. The owner stated that we would have never made it back to the ferry if it was ...
