    ... always encounters interesting people while traveling! Have a look at the picture. Along the trail Debbie unknowingly disturbed a wasp nest and got stung about 4 times! It would have probably been more if Jim wasn't there to rescue her. Thankfully she isn't allergic and just had some minor swelling where she was bit around her ankle.     ... of a good thing because we rolled in around 7 p.m. By the time we set up and finally sat down to dinner it was 9! Since our first night of camping Debbie and Jim had been talking about Jim's wonderful carrot cake, and tonight was the night they were going to break it out. But sadly, with all the checking and double checking the carrot cake did not make the trip! What a sad day at the camp ...

    We were up early again. We had wavered a bit the day before on when to get up. Our options for ferry were either 8 am, or 1:15pm. Since we had at least 4 hours of driving, and decided it would be best to go than doddle, we chose 8 am. This of course mean we had to be up and ready to eat at 7. The breakfast was again good and we were given a (unnecessary) ride over to the boat.

    Driving through Terra Nova National Park we notice the beautiful forest....much bigger trees than we have noticed anywhere else in Nfld!     ... lighthouse in red and white. Now it is very faded red and dingy white. O'well.

    The crows point observation park it over 300 feet above the Ocean and is a spectacular view of the rocky cliffs. We saw three icebergs -- but they were 10 to 15 miles away . so we really could not tell their size except that -- if we can see them that far away they must be BIG. We saw not whales or puffins.
