We had met a trail angel on the way today. He sits out on the road with his green VW van and greats biking tour riders with water, power bars and information. He use to tour but now is paying it back for all the people who was nice to him when he toured. The ride to Big Sur had big climbs with lots of curves on the road and the views were great. Supposedly teens and adults alike have been placing their used wads of bubblegum on the walls of this alley since the 60s. Every decade or so, the real grownups try to clean the wall and declare it disgusting and an eye-sore, which it is, but it’s an attraction and so the gum keeps on coming.
