After several minutes we stopped at a gate where Mike got out of the van to pay the fee. There is a $10 fee per car to drive through Pebble Beach – fair enough, the grounds are immense – there are 6 golf courses.

Monterey is a small affluent town situated on the coast. It is a very scenic and peaceful place with extremely nice homes, it would be a wonderful place to retire.
