    ... hotel. Maybe I should pack so lightly that a small bag is all I will need. I have done that on some previous trips and the only thing it limits is souvenirs. After all, I don't really need more souvenirs, and it is impossible to purchase anything on a small ship in the middle of the Galapagos!

    We drove up to the Novitiate of the Sacred Heart which is now a retirement home for Jesuits. It's a lovely building, with pretty gardens on a big area, and very nice view over the valley and hills. It is only about half a mile up the hill behind our hotel, so very close.     Thursday was quiet after the last couple of days. I had lunch in 'Historic Murphy Avenue' in Sunnyvale with Jackie and did a little shopping. I've no idea why it's historic.. But the food was good!
