I was being led astray by my wife!

What I cannot work out though, is who would be interested in that kind of thing at 10.30 in the morning, stone cold sober? ... is reputed to be the ruins of Columbus's house. From here we went to the Piazza De Ferrari where we had a light lunch and then admired the buildings around the square. Nearby is the shopping area, many fine shops in shaded colonnades with beautiful mosaic flooring. We made our way slowly back, retracing our steps and enjoying the fact that it was downhill. In the narrow streets at the bottom of the ...

... around the sea. There is a castle built on a rocky outcrop out the front and swimming pools everywhere. You could spend all day gazing down at Monaco. The houses are gorgeous and the cars amazing. This is a very fancy pancy place and you can see why because it is gorgeous! However it is also super congested and difficult to drive around so we sadly had to move on. ...
