    I guess I never celebrated solstice that much in my entire lifetime...

    ... it was in total three events, a lot of driving around (by car and bike), scrambling, dancing, listening latvian songs, searching a parking lot on the beach, taking the ferry back to Manhattan, getting rejected by State police and having a few beers at Brooklyn boulders. That's actually a pretty nice summary :) - but lets make it step by step

    While Lara is still in bed, I guess its up to me to make the first post of the day. Today we will have planned to pack everything up.... I'm still hoping that we get the truck and the car carrier working. I guess we will see in about a half hour.     This hike passed an old quarry on the way up Mt Taurus. There were several overlooks where you could see the Hudson River, Cold Spring, Breakneck Ridge. Returning on the north side of the mountain, you can visit the ruins of the Cornish Estate. We checked out the barn and outbuildings,by the reservoir and saw the pump house by the stream. I passed on the house ruins and was sorry that I did after I read the following article and saw photos of the house when it was still ...
