The next day we got most of the furniture arranged and today I started unpacking books while Dave finished sanding and painting the final bit of trim in my bedroom. So much detail work! Tomorrow I finish organizing the bathroom and go into town to pick up a few things for our 2014 inaugural Tiki Bar Happy Hour on Friday, in honor of ...

We got the tile in the bathroom, and some of the trim. I grouted the walls today and will do the floors tomorrow. Dave is finishing up the last ...

... be mostly done. These are the two biggest projects, so the rest should go much quicker.

My pear tree and my plum trees went crazy this year, and I have both fruits in abundance. I can only eat so much of it, but luckily the deer and raccoons are helping out. The pears have a fungus that makes them fall early (although they are still edible, in fact delish!), so the critters come by and feast every night once the humans nod off.
