        ... dead batteries…. Of course! . Luckily I have a 12-volt charger, and the trailer lights run off of 12 volts, so magic Dave got us some light. We still had ice in the chests from the trip, so the food was safe. The power was out until about 10, so it all worked out.

        There were some fires and bad winds up here, which caused the outage. So, in my city-slicker way, I asked my neighbor about the emergency alert system. TV? Radio? Texting ...
