... edge of civilization to a very clean and pleasant Transylvanian town with some industry and tourism.

The gorges are at one end of the town and if you come from Brasov you have to cross the entire Zarnesti to get there (some 10 minutes by car). After the asphalt road ends you have to go another 3 km on a forest road until you find a barrier. There is the beginning of the gorges. But don't worry, you ...

When we ask where she is from she says "a long way away, Australia". She has been in Oz for 30 years, has a son and daughter in their 20's, and her family in Australia has sent her back here for 3 months to visit family.
