    ... Nantes did not have a dedicated "Old Town". Old and new were blended, although you could see that they did not have any high rise buildings in this section of town.

Along with his political woes and there are many it is not a good time to be President of the Republic! It certainly is true that "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned!!!!!     The new government has been formed in France and I am sure every French person is captivated by the announcements. Interestingly the Minister of Education is Najat Belkacem, first woman to hold Education and there are 8 woman appointed out of 16 ministers. vive les femmes!!The left has held the majority and it will be business as usual hopefully but I am sure there will be some grumbling ...

    ... wonder, and we were on the hunt for scampi or fresh langoustines. There were a number of fishmongers to choose from with fish piled high and glistening, spiky crabs, and slippery black eels on display. we found our scampi, bought some nectarines and crusty golden baguette and proceeded home after a leisurely coffee. Time for an aperitif, kirs were poured cobination of white wine and cassis and we snacked on ...

    ... which is lovely, great swim area for toddlers, big grassy pitches, bar, kids club, take out etc. But a bit too butlins for Hank. Then we went to another one near la Garangeoire, which was much more up our street, more laid back, more French, more Martragny. But had lots of waterlogged pitches - not a good sign. I think if we come back here it'll be the castels site, it's only marginally more a night and has everything we want and more. Came back to the campsite for a swim, ...
