... Trail, nothing else would compare. But we needn't have worried as this is more incredible than anything we could ever have imagined. And very far from a walk in the park! Our knees and calves and toes scream in protest! Such things we ask of our bodies as we pound along down and down and down and down, for hours at a time!

It was a relaxing walk down the Val Ferret to Champex-Lac though we did have to climb a quick 400m elevation at the end of the day. The walk was through several villages with cattle sheds and houses from the mid 1800's. all the timber is stained dark brown and obviously weathers well in the cold climate. We had a rest day today, I stayed by the lake and did a tour of WW2 tunnels, but Greg felt the walk hasn't been ...
