... my other auntie’s house. We left the car at her house and walked to catch the tram. We waited for about ten minutes then the tram came, we boarded… it took around 20 minutes to get there… but today is when they’re doing their big half yearly and Halloween sale … there were people EVERYWHERE! We spent only 5 days in Switzerland (it ain't cheap!), and I loved it there. The country itself had overall a genuinely warm, kind vibe.
We stayed in the French-speaking region of the country, in a city called Lausanne, which is on the opposite side of the Lake from Geneva, and has apparently been called "the San Francisco of Switzerland."
The lake is called Lac Leman in Switzerland, ...

... perfection (except for its out of place casino). The 2km promenade along the shore is a must with blooming gardens, sculptures and sights to see everywhere. Strongly recommend! A quick stop at the hotel where Barbara's art is exhibited then we headed back through town window shopping, mostly closed as it was 7pm after a long day. ... Trail, nothing else would compare. But we needn't have worried as this is more incredible than anything we could ever have imagined. And very far from a walk in the park! Our knees and calves and toes scream in protest! Such things we ask of our bodies as we pound along down and down and down and down, for hours at a time!
