... 3 camera died as it was. Voted the best day of the tip so far.
Next it is the trip we have all been waiting, in groups of 12 we clamber into dugouts. All the bags are double wrapped to keep them dry this really should of acted as a warning.

... Elena gekochte Spiderman fleecedeken beschermd tegen het Frost-gun van spidermans opponent “Mister Freeze”. Vanwege de slechte wegen en 100den bochten krijgen we opnieuw ‘t gevoel in een cocktailshaker te zitten maar Sonja slaapt deze keer bijna overal doorheen. Ik pak helaas niet zoveel slaap en snak naar koffie als we tegen half 7 ‘s ochtends het busstation van Maracay inrijden.
Vanuit Maracay is het hemelsbreed maar ...
Bangmakerij van de 1e orde
... de aankoop van een nieuwe tandenborstel bij de drogist, voor een ‘mooi prijsje’ om voor Venezolaanse Bolivars. Op de helft van de ‘geldmissie’ drinken we nog even een heerlijke Braziliaanse caipirinha om daarna met de taxi en een gevulde knip, zonder enige controle, Venezuela weer in te rijden…Grensovergangen zijn nog nooit zo makkelijk geweest…
Die middag stoppen we de enorme stapels met verkregen Bolivars ...

First impressions and Orinoco river tour
... for now (I am not sure if I will return) and moved ahead for a 12-hour nightbus to Ciudad Bolivar. Although it was a comfortable bus, it was good that I took a fleece with me, because they tend to set the airco to 'Arctic'!
What can I say about the Orinoco river delta tour? Very positive, I guess after having completed the 3-2 tour (three days-two nights). First it took 'just' nearly 3 hours to get from C. Bolivar to one of the side rivers of the Orinoco ...
