... the town which we walked up to and there were little shops and cafes outdoors on the cobbled streets.

We went into the castle which was now a museum and walked around. It turns out that it was a bit of a family mansion and there were old antiques from when they lived there. Today Tia managed to consume some fishing tackle, line and a large sea fishing hook from the beach..!!! So following a X-Ray it was confirmed a large sea hook was in her stomach, so a small trip to the larger vets in Guardamar del Segura and the prospect of a stomach ...

Had a wonderful afternoon exploring Castillo de Sant Barbara (hugecastle/fort at the top of hill in Alicante) and listening to some of the 3 Reyes (3 Kings/Wisemen) festivities from the top of the castle. Tonight the 3 Kings (Wisemen) arrive! There were huge celebrations here in Spain. We could hear a marching band and see signs of a parade and huge crowds from the top of the castle. Later we saw on TV lots of celebrations all over Spain with kings and beautifully dressed women ...
