I said thank you and as we left I think he said goodbye in Hindi. So we had a few different languages going on. ... cost 1.50€, and if you sit on stairs or anything you get moved along straight away by these "gaurdians" in orange shirts. You have to pay to sit in a restaurant or something if you get tired. I didn't worry about doing the gondola ride because it just seems so boring!! It was nice enough just walking the streets watching the gondola's. We arrived in Venice today, and after checking in to our typical Venice hotel (ie over priced and somewhat sub par) we hit the town, checking out all the usual tourist traps. The kids had a blast buying plastic 'made in china' Venice souvenirs.
