I kick-started my Mother's Day weekend with a yoga session at a Shinto Shrine. Manshoji Shrine is old. Not old, as in, needs a new coat of paint. OLD, as in, this place is hundreds of years old, old! ... STOL the crazy organized chaos you come to love about Japan. Imagine this is Tokyo's version of Time Square. People crossing everywhere, giant screens trying to draw your attention, high rises and shopping!!

... to look grey. Apparently she had not thought about what she was eating until the end and the last piece "slithered down my throat, ikk". Overall, Kim hater of seafood managed to finish her meal and keep it down.

... up to Level 5, this is the highest point you can reach by road. From here it takes about 7 hours to walk to the top. We wander around up here for about 40 minutes; the clouds come and go giving and taking views of Mt Fuji. Of course there are the omnipresent souvenir shops, however here everything from bottled water to chocolates and other sweet delights are shaped into mini Mt Fujis.

... lugging laundry bags and soap upstairs, hoping machines are available. It's not so bad though. We've been doing laundry regularly and the key is to do it during the week when it isn't crowded. Today I am the machine hog since I'm washing everything I can including the new sheets I bought for our temporary beds. We are looking forward to getting settled into our house and having Renny with us, but I will really miss, "Housekeeping!"
