Ein Prosit, Ein Prosit
... other a hearty "Prost!" ("cheers"). I can't tell you how much I love it. Add in a liter of beer and some good food, and it's pretty hard to beat. Tonight we had bockwurst (smoked pork sausage), potato salad, and some spatzle (little noodles/dumplings made from an egg dough). And of course I needed one more pretzel (normal-sized this time though). Maybe I'm biased, but let me tell you: Disneyland's got nothing on this place - it's the happiest place on earth for ...
Road Trip - Romantic Road
... a pity that the castle itself had scaffolding over the majority of it for restoration work! Having said that, it is impressive to see sticking out the side of the mountain. A pretty much vertical bus ride up the hill and then another 10 minute walk and we were there! The inside of the castle was just as impressive - built by crazy King Ludwig II who was obsessed by Wagner (not from X Factor). Otherwise, we wandered around and looked in the markets, ate our food, looked at a bunch of dirndl stores (how great of a Halloween costume would that be?) and waited (in 90 degree heat) for our bike tour to begin. One thing we did learn is ...
Free Day
... We all went out to the English Garden, and the Chinese Tower Beer Garden located within. It was by chance there that I ran into my friend Annie. It was seriously by fate that we ran into each other. I knew she was in Munich but we had no planned meeting time or place. It was great to see her so I sat with her and her friends for dinner. That was pretty much the entire night, tomorrow the tour really begins with Dachau Concentration Camp and Nueschwanstein Castle.
