    A "Slow" Day

A travel blog entry by alanjgreenhalgh on Jun 01, 2013

The four days of the opening were truly remarkable. During the day we were at the Biennale at Arsenale and Giardini. And at night from 6 to 10 at the opening at the Palazzo Bembo. The exception was yesterday when we had an appointment with the rabbi and director of the Jewish Community of Venice what people normally refer to as the Ghetto. We did …

Money well spent! The Florian is one of the oldest coffee houses in the world. Good night from ...

... amp; even more gold leaf than Paris. It's a beautiful scared place. Grant doesn't want to pay extra just to see the tomb & treasures so we wander the church & out the exit. We head towards the water & decide to catch a water bus to Murano island. The island is famous for its glass factories & traditional glass blowers. It's a 45 minute scenic cruise & we are glad to rest our feet. As soon as we disembark there is a man yelling out glass factory ...
