Next was a walk around the square and castle, and an interesting lunch in a cave. The roast eel was quite good, and best of all was ice cream with raspberry sauce for dessert. We love this resort so much that we decided to stay another day and night. The photos of Pocatky were taken from a 16th. century bell tower. We were inside at 12 noon but the bells didn't ring. Thank goodness.

Photo of the time keeper's "nest" are included.

We both had massages today.

Left our Prague apartment this morning and drove to this fitness resort. Foot massage for 2 (that's people not feet) at 6 PM. Horseback riding at 10 AM, full body massage at 2 and Jacuzzi at 7:30 tomorrow. We should really be relaxed by Tuesday!!

... which was all but destroyed. It has been rebuilt using whatever material could be savalged and is now back to all its late-baroque glory. A truly amazing experience. Having only the one day meant that after a walk around the Old Quarter we spent it at The Zwinger - a trio of amazing museums (an art gallery, a porcelain musuem, and the museum of mathematics and physics. ... 1 hour later and about 30 elderly people appeared out of nowhere. It was modern, large, air-conditioned (still rather rare on Czech Rail) single carriage train. But after a short 35 minutes we get to Telc, I can tell you it was worth the trip.

There are two parts to the town, the old town (11-12th century) and the (marginally newer 15th century) town square and castle where we are staying. Telc is set amongst a series of lakes or ponds ...
