... century to supply the nobility with fish and is still functioning as a local industry. This pond is as big as a lake. Next was a walk around the square and castle, and an interesting lunch in a cave. The roast eel was quite good, and best of all was ice cream with raspberry sauce for dessert. Back on the bus for the ride through the lovely countryside, and arrival at our hotel. Built in the 14th century, this boutique hotel ...

We love this resort so much that we decided to stay another day and night. The photos of Pocatky were taken from a 16th. century bell tower. We were inside at 12 noon but the bells didn't ring. Thank goodness.

Photo of the time keeper's "nest" are included.

      We both had massages today.

Left our Prague apartment this morning and drove to this fitness resort. Foot massage for 2 (that's people not feet) at 6 PM. Horseback riding at 10 AM, full body massage at 2 and Jacuzzi at 7:30 tomorrow. We should really be relaxed by Tuesday!!

      Great weather, great time.

We caught the Student Agency bus again for the 40 minute trip to Chesky Budejovic - home of Budweiser beer - but although thirsty didn't have time to find and sample the local product....

From the home of beer, we transferred to a train and after 2 hours ...

Leaving Cesky Krumlov, we headed to Treban and Trebic. Treban was like Cesky Krumlov with an old town, main square, Schwartzenberg castle, plague monument and cobblestone streets. But it was less touristy and felt more like a town where people really live. We were fascinatd by a lady selling hotdogs from a cart. She hollowed mini-submarine roll out, heated it on a spike, dipped the hotdog in a pot of ketchup and dropped the hotdog into the roll, like dropping ...
