Snowing hard and enjoying some very special white Czech wine.
Enjoyed some excellent schnapps last night at a local bar and have been hanging out with local DJs listening to awesome drum and bass vinyl mixing.
Been to too many bars and drank far too much of the local shot (some kind of 40% distilled rice wine - URGHH!!)
Wonderful company and walks around the lovely little city of Oloumouc.

Wedding & hangover
... for Czech people to get changed in the evening so we did as the locals did and got changed before getting absolutely smashed. Yesterday (Sunday) was a complete write off. Literally thought I might be dying and very proud of us for not just managing to get up (and be sick) but actually going to tesco and then out for dinner! Well done us. Metz to Jihlava
... is by far more scary than France or Germany, not least because you have no chance of guessing words. Very glad we have a local to help us around, and she managed to find us a restaurant with and English translation menu :) ate loads of pizza and yummy pork, consumed super cheap alcohol and have retired to bed. Nothing too exciting to report today, just 850km of driving to be honest! The fun starts tomorrow when we go and check into the wedding venue to get ready for the big day ...

1st Day of the Study Tour
Left Prague to go see the eastern part of the Cezch Republic. Drove to Telc, which was cool because it was a town surrounded by lakes. Got to go up into the tower of the castle. The wooden stairs were quite rickity and the low ceilings made for an interesting clime. The view was worth it. I could see all 3 lakes and got a picture of mom on the ground. She looks like an ant.
