... After the soup the entertainment began-four local musicians who played Czech folk songs, renaissance songs, Slovak tunes, American blues and folk songs. It was a great addition to a traditional Czech dinner of roast pork and rice. We were charged to guess the ages and occupations of the musicians-our table came the closest and we won the prizr of a CD. It was a joyful evening, and we all walked home with smiles on our faces.

We love this resort so much that we decided to stay another day and night. The photos of Pocatky were taken from a 16th. century bell tower. We were inside at 12 noon but the bells didn't ring. Thank goodness.

Photo of the time keeper's "nest" are included.

      We both had massages today.

Left our Prague apartment this morning and drove to this fitness resort. Foot massage for 2 (that's people not feet) at 6 PM. Horseback riding at 10 AM, full body massage at 2 and Jacuzzi at 7:30 tomorrow. We should really be relaxed by Tuesday!!

      Great weather, great time.

I then visited a gallery where a local artist has painted many of the fašades of the buildings around the square. There had been a market going on inside the castle grounds that were just closing as I arrived so I had a look at the castle park, then climbed the Castle Tower. This was ...

... community. The first one is being retained as a museum. Trebic also has a Benedictine Abbey dating from the 12th century and St. Procopius Basilica . which we toured. The Basilica dates from 1101, burned down in the 1600's, was used for various things such as a stable and for beer storage and was finally rebuilt in the 1700's. Lastly, we visited the Jewish cemetery which has approximately 1100 family private and family graves and memorials to victims ...
