... the city must be expensive. A lot of beggars. People searching trash, while others keep up appearances. Souvenir shops offer curiosa from the former regime. My guess is it will be gone in ten years. Then the city, preparing to be among the great, will be ready and will have shaken off it's past. The youth is already preparing. They speak English. They are building the new Hungary which among others floats on tourism and therefore on the legacy of what they try to shake ...

We spent the first hour and a half walking around the Pest side, we saw St Stephens Basilica which was very grand from the outside, apparently they have St Stephens left hand locked away inside but we didn’t venture in to see it! "Pest" as well as the Parliament building from the river side. We also got to witness one of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen in my entire life. We walked through some of the markets and got "hot" wine and hot chocolate to keep us warm. By this time it was completely dark outside so we even got to see the city lit up at night which was pretty neat, especially the bridge. We then hopped back ...

... enjoying ourselves. Courntey did some shopping and took many pictures as usual, and while she was in a shop I saw a guy eating a great looking chicken sandwich. I asked him where he got it and we received directions to a fast food place just outside of the city walls. We found the place after asking a couple people and sat down for a real treat of chicken sandwiches and fries. We mustered up our energy and got ready to climb 1320 old stone steps to the top of the mountain where ...
