... we decided to ask for a dinner recommendation from the hotel for something nearby and they suggested a typical Hungarian restaurant located near the national museum. Our goal today was to head up to the castle district to see the Matthias Church. We headed down to the waterfront, then walked to the foot of the Elizabeth bridge, where we finally found the Roman ruins under plexiglass windows- that's why we didn't notice them before! ... wrong Ibis was sorry we weren't staying, but we moved on to the correct Ibis. It did take us two turns around the block to find the entrance though. Oh yes, I forgot to tell you about the spiffy toll vignettes in Hungary. They are virtual. You go on line, enter your car number plate details and pay the fee. No actual sticker to clutter your windscreen or to distract from your National parks pass and your Hungary Jacks Drive-thru VIP sticker. ...
