... welcomed us like long lost friends! We had arrived in the middle of festival season, and their 16 year old son was taking part in the local "running of the bulls" through the streets of Generac. After farewell to Marie-Eve & Neji we hit the road for Carcassonne Castle - the must see venue for July 14 fireworks.

After around 2 hours drive, we saw the castle from a distance from the motorway, it looked spectacular and we were excited to be there for July 14. We even found a park quite close to the castle, and that's when our day took a turn for the worse.... I discovered I had left my glasses at Marie-Eve's house!!!
