We are in Bukit Lawang, Indonesia. We stayed in a big tent in the jungle. The people were nice and it was close to the river. We saw about 10 lizards and about 20 monkeys and guess what. The monkey stole the sugar. He was like Dressler but faster. There was a HUGE praying mantis and its leg got stuck in candle wax. I saw a little poisonous snake, it was very hard to see.

... and Chinese art in most of Java.

Dinner was a ridiculously extensive menu of expensive things, but like the dirty backpackers we are, we ordered Nasi Goreng and shared a Bintang! Afterwards we had a wander around the hotel and saw Javanese most famous painting, lots of Ming China and a carved dragon statue that was over 3,200 years old- the detail was amazing considering how old it was.

Heading for an early night to try and get as much sleep as possible before our 1am ...

... to park ourselves in a clearing for lunch while nameless went off looking for us. We enjoyed fried rice, cucumber, and a fried egg wrapped in a banana leaf followed by a quarter of the juiciest pineapple. Before we could finish wiping the juice from our face nameless came back smiling having found another duo this time hanging out in their nest. So with that we cleaned up in record time and were off on the hunt yet again.
